TRAINING FOR YOUNG ATHLETES


 


mladje_kategorijeIn sport and physical education teaching major significance is the motor development of children and youth. Motor development does not take place evely just as the biological development of children and youth. Motor development is related to the biological development of children and youth, so that there are periods of intense and slow growth. Periods in which significant effects on the organism of children and youth cause increase in the reaction, and that as a result of this reaction can achieve optimal effects, are called "sensitive stages".

 

Just as some periods in life cannot be relived, so it is in the training process. It is imperative to develop certain physical abilities when the timing is right. An often case are early specialization and underdeveloped motor skills which subsequently increases the possibility of injury and limits the maximum achievement in sports. Apart from selecting the most suitable and effective exercises, we based the entire program on sensitive stages. (Table 1).
